Texas Bean Dip

This is the ultimate ooey gooey cheese bean dip that’s perfect for game day parties and social gatherings

Ingredients

  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 16 oz cans refried beans
  • 1 4 1/2 ounce can chopped green chilies drained
  • 1 package Taco seasoning
  • 4 cups shredded cheese I use a Mexican cheese blend

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. mixed cream cheese and sour cream in a large bowl on high for about one minute or until the cheese is mixed in with the sour cream.
  3. Add refried beans, green chilis, taco seasoning and 2 cups of cheese. Mix well
  4. Spread bean mixture into a 13×9 inch buttered baking dish and spread with remaining 2 cups of cheese.
  5. Bake 25 minutes. Serve with tortilla chips.

Because the cheesy top matters: An OXO box grater with a removable zester is handy for shredding the cheese that finishes this warm bean dip. Scatter it evenly over the top before baking, then have the chips ready. This is not a dip that usually waits around for company.
